The Foundation

We guide elementary-school students in the development of skills essential to their educational success by offering them programs that combine art and sports.

We want all children to have access to activities that they love and that help them thrive.

By offering free, turnkey programs that are integrated into the school curriculum, we hope to re-establish equal opportunities so that all students have the tools they need.

We see the educational path as a collaborative process. Our animation teams inspire children by sharing their knowledge, interests, and passions.

We weave lasting ties with our academic and philanthropic partners. Our aim is to have our involvement with children motivate them to be committed to their own success.

In 2017, their common desire to be involved with young people led Laurent and Florence-Agathe to co-create the LDT Foundation. With the support of an experienced team, they set up innovative programs combining art and sports in a network of elementary schools across Quebec. Their goal: to transmit their passion for art and sports to students by giving them access to activities that encourage them to succeed at school and thrive personally.

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif is the first active player in the NFL to hold a medical degree. Laurent stands out for his philanthropic involvement in healthcare, culture, and education. His leadership and positive impact in the community were underlined in 2021 with the prestigious Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award, which honours his efforts in the fight against COVID-19.

Florence-Agathe Dubé-Moreau, an author, columnist, and independent contemporary art curator, works at the crossroads of culture and sport. With a background of high-level training at the École supérieure de ballet du Québec, Florence holds a master’s degree in art history.
