Would you like to host The 6^th period at your school? Show your interest in this program by filling out the form below. We will certainly take your school into consideration when we make our selection. Please note that only eligible schools will be selected and contacted for preliminary meetings.

Criteria for selecting schools

School in the public education network

Analysis of extracurricular activities already offered in order to fill existing needs

Increased sensitivity to the socioeconomic context and the disadvantaged nature of the sector

Taking into consideration the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec’s Low-Income Cut-off Index

Art room that is suitable and available to host the art section

Sports gymnasium that is suitable and available to host the sports section

Secure and accessible small storage space made available to the Foundation to store sports and arts materials supplied by the Foundation

Proactive attitude of the school team and mobilization of the school management team to facilitate integration of the program with the students

Expected involvement by the school

Appoint two staff members to be responsible for acting as on-site resource people for registration and during activities

Manage registrations following the Foundation’s initial visits

Sign an official participation agreement

Ensure communication with parents and children around the activities

Offer basic items during activities (number bibs, cleaning wipes, etc.)

Support the Foundation team in the field by offering support and advice for management of certain students’ disruptive behaviours

Participate in program feedback surveys and meetings
