The LDT Foundation names Audrey McKinnon as executive director

The LDT Foundation strengthens its leadership in educational success in Québec with the appointment of Audrey McKinnon to the position of executive director. With more than 25 years’ experience in the non-profit sector and having held a number of executive positions supporting educational success and persistence in school, McKinnon will contribute to the deployment of La 6e période and to the development of programs that motivate children to realize their full potential, their ambitions, and their dreams.

“We are thrilled to welcome Audrey to our team. This appointment represents a pivotal moment in the perpetuation of the LDT Foundation’s commitment to educational success. Since 2017, we have been working to make the organization a positive force of change and innovation by emphasizing the pleasure of discovery and wellbeing for young people. We are eager to expand our vision thanks to Audrey’s remarkable experience and to build, together, the future of the LDT Foundation so that as many children as possible can profit from the benefits of physical activity and creativity as part of their development.” – Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Florence-Agathe Dubé-Moreau, co-founders of the LDT Foundation

In recent years, McKinnon was the executive director of the Réseau québécois pour la réussite éducative, where she was known for her leadership, her ability to mobilize internal and external work teams, and her talent at fostering the backing of many partners and stakeholders from the business world. She also acquired rich expertise in management, communications, and strategic development, enabling her to successfully direct large-scale projects, including the province-wide awareness-raising campaign Les Journées de la persévérance scolaire in collaboration with 18 regional bodies. The LDT Foundation is convinced that her solid experience will enable her to form lasting ties with community, school, and philanthropic communities.

“I am thrilled to be able to participate in achieving the mission of this wonderful organization, whose values I share: accessibility, sharing, and engagement. The LDT Foundation contributes to strengthening young people’s attachment and commitment to school through innovative activities that develop their curiosity and self-esteem, the key factors in persistence at school. Our entire team, our Board of Directors and our cabinet of ambassadors will always work to make a difference for children.” – Audrey McKinnon, executive director of the LDT Foundation
